Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ukko Vainamoinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akio Takada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vainamoinen kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Kalevala "Savelma". Takada has chosen Metallica - All Nightmare Long as his entrance music. Akio Takada has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Takada looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Takada seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Takada working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Vainamoinen's thigh. Vainamoinen counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Takada trying to control the position from guard on top but Vainamoinen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Takada thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Takada wants to pass the guard but Vainamoinen is keeping the position.

Vainamoinen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Takada can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Vainamoinen had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Takada is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Vainamoinen Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Takada's back instead.

Takada just trying to survive but Vainamoinen is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Takada tries to escape but Vainamoinen has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Takada breaks Vainamoinen's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Takada wants to control from the top but Vainamoinen keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Vainamoinen wants to clinch.
Takada shoots in for a takedown but Vainamoinen shows good takedown defense.
Vainamoinen misses with an uppercut.

Vainamoinen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Takada fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Vainamoinen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Takada has a takedown stuffed.
Ukko Vainamoinen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akio Takada.
Vainamoinen is looking to clinch but Takada is avoiding it.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Vainamoinen throws a body punch but Takada moves out of range.
Vainamoinen looks to land a combination but Takada avoids it well.
Vainamoinen misses with a hook. Takada ducked under it nicely.
Takada tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vainamoinen swivels and escapes.

Takada closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Takada lands in his opponent's guard.
Takada wants to pass the guard but Vainamoinen is keeping the position.

Takada tries to free his leg and advance position but Vainamoinen is retaining full guard.

Vainamoinen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Takada on the ground.
Takada sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vainamoinen's guard.
Takada wants to free his trapped foot but Vainamoinen is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Takada is working for a submission of some sort.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Takada is just content to waste time from the top position. Vainamoinen takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Vainamoinen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Vainamoinen is breathing heavily.

Takada escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vainamoinen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Takada manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Takada looking to control but Vainamoinen is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Takada looking to isolate an arm here. Vainamoinen doesn't see it coming and as Takada extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Takada!
