Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Melendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melendez has chosen Brooklyn Zoo as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nathan Silver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mauricio Melendez!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Melendez gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Silver leaves Melendez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Silver lands a nice hook to Melendez's body. Melendez takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Melendez shoots for a takedown but Silver saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Silver ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Silver throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Melendez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Silver doesn't seem bothered though.
Silver fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Melendez looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Melendez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silver's waist but Silver gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Melendez off to one side.
Nathan Silver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mauricio Melendez.
Silver connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
It looks like Mauricio Melendez has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Melendez takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Melendez tries to clinch but Silver is having none of it.
Silver throws a shot to the body.
Silver fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Melendez looks winded!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Silver, as that shot connected.
Silver throws a series of punches but Melendez avoids them all with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silver lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Melendez is rocked!
Silver throws out a powerful jab.
Melendez is still on wobbly legs! Can Silver finish him?
Silver is looking to wear down Melendez with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Silver plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Melendez swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Melendez face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nathan Silver!
