The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Caesar darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Caesar stalling.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Oda is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Caesar pulls his head out easily.
Caesar thows a huge punch but Oda dodges it nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oh Oda is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Caesar content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
It looks like Caesar might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Caesar wants to take a breather but Oda is having none of it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Caesar connects with a nice short shot to Oda's temple.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Caesar lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Caesar scores with a big shot! Oda's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Oda! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
