Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Bastion! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jorge Camacho! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Camacho fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bastion throws a series of punches but Camacho moves out of range. Bastion moves out of range of the body kick. Bastion throws a shot from downtown. Camacho moves away and avoids it. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Camacho. Camacho shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bastion defends it nicely. Chris Bastion has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Camacho. Bastion lands with a kick to the ribs.
Bastion misses with a body shot.
Camacho throws a series of punches but Bastion avoids them all with ease. Bastion darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bastion gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Camacho takes a knee right on the jaw!
Camacho wants to take the fight to the mat but Bastion manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Bastion dodges an elbow strike from Camacho.
Bastion gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Bastion escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Chris Bastion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bastion throws a head kick but Camacho moves out of range.
Bastion throws a leg kick but Camacho checks it. Bastion wants to slow Camacho down by chopping away at his legs. Camacho fails with a takedown attempt. Bastion lets loose with a powerful body kick. Camacho will feel that in the morning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Camacho checks the leg kick nicely there.
Bastion throws a combination that misses and Camacho counters with a nice leg kick. Camacho throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Bastion stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Camacho follows into mount!
Bastion is rocked!
It looks like Chris Bastion has been cut. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Camacho is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Bastion is forced to tap! Great finish!
