PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Cojones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prince Punisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cojones might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pearl Jam - Do The Evolution. Prince Punisher is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punisher doesn't manage to clinch there - Cojones circles away.
Punisher avoids the head kick by Cojones.
Punisher shoots in looking for a takedown. Cojones tries to sprawl out of it but Punisher keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cojones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Cojones moves into range and clinches up with Punisher.
Punisher fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Cojones is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Punisher pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Punisher's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Cojones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Cojones passes easily into side control. Nice work.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Cojones is trying to get an arm triangle but Punisher is defending well.

Cojones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Punisher, who protects the arm well.

Cojones happy to just control the position for now.

Punisher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cojones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cojones stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Cojones drives through and clinches with Punisher against the cage.

Punisher misses with a hook to the ribs.
Punisher trying to control the position but instead, Cojones has worked for underhooks and has pushed Punisher into the cage.
Punisher creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Cojones's defenses.

It looks like Pablo Cojones has been cut.
Cojones drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Punisher gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Cojones tries to pull guard but Punisher won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pablo Cojones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Punisher is trying to pull guard but Cojones turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Cojones throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Punisher tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cojones is in Punisher's guard.

Punisher is posturing up here but Cojones has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Punisher tries to roll out but it's too tight and Punisher has to tap! Slick submission there by Cojones!

Pablo Cojones decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
