Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jon Cash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sam Wangu! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wangu pushes Cash up against the cage in a clinch. Cash escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nice sprawl there from Cash as Wangu shoots in. Cash blocks a head kick by Wangu.
Cash clinches up with Wangu and pushes him back against the cage. Cash decides to pull guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Wangu throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cash works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Wangu with a flurry of punches that miss. The ref stands the fighters back up. Sam Wangu was stalling too much, according to the referee. A nice combination there by Cash.

Wangu is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cash sees it coming and defends easily. Cash might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Cash goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Cash has taken the fight to the clinch.
Wangu pushes off an throws an elbow but Cash leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Cash wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Wangu has him pressed against the cage. Cash is defending well against a takedown attempt. Wangu is fighting off a takedown attempt but Cash is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Wangu to the mat. Wangu regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Wangu is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Cash has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Wangu looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wangu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wangu trying to control the position.

Wangu lands a couple of good shots and Cash has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Wangu misses with an elbow to the head. Wangu is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cash doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wangu. Wangu perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Cash wants to control but Wangu is keeping busy and won't allow it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wangu is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cash doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wangu.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wangu takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Wangu working Cash over with strikes. Cash tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Wangu has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Cash defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Wangu. Wangu lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Cash wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Wangu.
Wangu has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Cash's face.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wangu goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Cash turns into him and now he's in Wangu's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cash trying to control but Wangu is working from the bottom. Wangu is looking for a triangle but Cash pushes his legs off easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cash avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Sam Wangu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Wangu winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
