Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ralte Bentea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cam Kran!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kran scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Kran should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Kran looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Bentea is avoiding damage well.
Bentea is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kran is controlling him well.
Kran fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Bentea wants to control but Kran postures up.
Kran throws a strike aimed at the side of Bentea's head but Bentea avoids it well.
Kran throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Kran tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kran has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kran thows a huge punch but Bentea dodges it nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bentea seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Bentea escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kran gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bentea is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kran postures up in Bentea's guard and throws a big left but Bentea blocks it.
Bentea bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kran's guard.

Kran has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Bentea wants to stand but Kran has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Kran has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bentea can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kran is rocked!
Bentea keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kran's head.
Kran is still in real trouble! Can Bentea finish him?

Bentea postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Kran covers up, he's hurt! Bentea keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Bentea and the ref steps in to end the fight! Bentea can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
