Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Risto Velttonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velttonen has chosen Ultra Bra - Hauki as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Risto Velttonen acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roberto Kim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Risto Velttonen! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velttonen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kim sees it coming and avoids it easily. Velttonen misses with a jab, cross combination.
Risto Velttonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Velttonen takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Velttonen scores with a punch to the head. Velttonen throws a lazy right hand but Kim sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Velttonen lands with an overhand left. Kim slips a straight right by Velttonen. Velttonen looks to land a right hand but Kim moved out of range. Velttonen lands a right hook to the body.
Kim moves out of range as Velttonen strikes. Velttonen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Kim counters with a single leg into guard. Velttonen didn't expect that. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Velttonen wants to sweep but no luck. Velttonen is still trying to improve position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Velttonen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Velttonen has his foot on Kim's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kim works his way back into a safe position though. Kim pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Velttonen is keeping the position for now. Kim working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Velttonen's head. Velttonen keeping moving, preventing Kim from controlling successfully. Velttonen seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Kim stays in close to Velttonen's body and controls the position. Kim pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Velttonen is keeping the position for now. Kim postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kim missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kim avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kim postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kim trying to control but Velttonen is working from the bottom. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kim is really struggling to control Velttonen but he's trying to hold on to the position. Kim throwing strikes but missing. Velttonen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kim defends it easily. Kim chips away with some ground and pound. Kim trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Velttonen tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Velttonen keeping moving, preventing Kim from controlling successfully. Kim throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Velttonen tries to land a sweep but no joy. Velttonen looking to control.
Kim won't allow Velttonen to sweep him here. Kim makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
It looks like Risto Velttonen has been cut. Kim pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Velttonen is keeping the position for now. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Velttonen is looking for a triangle here but Kim uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kim lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Velttonen down.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Velttonen is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kim works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Velttonen is rocked! A big shot lands for Kim! That's hurt Velttonen! Will he recover? Kim fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
