Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aslanbek Basayev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niila Joikhaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aslanbek Basayev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Niila Joikhaaja!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joikhaaja throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Basayev was covering up waiting for the punch and Joikhaaja finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Joikhaaja working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Joikhaaja thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Basayev tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Joikhaaja slips nicely into half guard.
Basayev has hold of Joikhaaja's hands but Joikhaaja slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Joikhaaja is thwarting Basayev's attempts to control the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Oh Basayev is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Joikhaaja winds up and cracks Basayev with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Joikhaaja is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Basayev is hurt! He's hurt bad - Joikhaaja fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Basayev from any more punishment! Congratulations to Joikhaaja! Great finish!
