Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Melekh David!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy lands a head kick!

David closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

David is looking to take a break and control but Murphy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That was a close round but I would say that David Murphy will probably get the nod.

Murphy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. David gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Murphy throws his legs up looking for a submission but David uses it to pass to side control.
Murphy throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Melekh David has got the better of the ground game so far.
David tries to advance to mount but Murphy denies him.
David is chipping away with strikes.

David is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Murphy has escaped the position, nice work there.
Murphy tries to get back to half guard but can't.

The strikes coming from David are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
David grinds an elbow into Murphy's temple.
David gets to mount! Murphy was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Murphy wants to hold on but David pushes him away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
David can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Murphy is looking to escape.
David is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Murphy can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
David breaks from Murphy's wrist control and lands an elbow.


Murphy is rocked!

David lands a big elbow - Murphy is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Murphy is forced to tap out!
