Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Franklin Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eugene Albright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Albright avoids the head kick by Dos Santos.
Albright looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Dos Santos is looking to control Albright's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dos Santos avoid being mounted? Albright performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Dos Santos controls Albright momentarily but Albright frees himself. Albright is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Albright is standing up over Dos Santos. Dos Santos looks to escape but Albright dives into side control.
Albright slows the pace down. Dos Santos bucks up and tries to throw Albright off but instead Albright has got his back!

Dos Santos looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dos Santos trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Albright is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Eugene Albright is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dos Santos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Albright swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Albright closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dos Santos's guard. Albright prevents Dos Santos from getting back to his feet. Albright is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Dos Santos is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Franklin Dos Santos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight! Eugene Albright comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Albright has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
