Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Columna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kharn Kilgore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fernando Columna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kharn Kilgore!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kilgore circles away from the clinch attempt

and Kilgore counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kilgore.

Kilgore lands a takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Columna is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kilgore is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kilgore is fighting to break Columna's control of his arms but Columna is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Columna looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kilgore is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Columna throws a couple of heel strikes.
Kilgore wants to stand but Columna has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Kilgore thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kilgore drops back looking for a leg! Columna is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Columna manages to kick Kilgore off! Kilgore jumps back into Columna's guard.

Columna goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Kilgore is on top in guard.

Kilgore slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Kilgore has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kilgore shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Columna as he jumps to the side.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Columna scores with a spinning back kick!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kharn Kilgore will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Columna is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kilgore sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Columna tries to clinch

and Kilgore moves into the clinch.

Kilgore manages to break the clinch.
Columna shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kilgore defends it nicely.
Kilgore shoots in but Columna avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Columna tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kilgore sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Columna somewhat.

Kilgore darts in and clinches Columna up against the cage.

Kilgore manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Columna would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Columna shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kilgore as he avoids it easily.

so Kilgore counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Columna knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kilgore on the ground.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kilgore stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Columna swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Columna is looking for a triangle but Kilgore pushes his legs off easily.
Columna is striking off his back. Kilgore thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Kilgore not doing much here.

Kilgore escapes and gets back to his feet.

Kilgore clinches up with Columna and pushes him back against the cage.

Kilgore lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Kilgore prevents Columna from improving his position.
Columna is working hard here to advance position.
Kilgore wants to control but Columna is keeping him busy.
Kilgore might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Columna haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Columna is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kilgore is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Columna has a hand on Kilgore's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Kilgore takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Kilgore controlling the pace for now.
Columna wants to control but Kilgore is having none of it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Columna tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Columna is squirming around, avoiding Kilgore's attempts to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kharn Kilgore showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

The referee is keeping an eye on Kilgore - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Kilgore takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kilgore is pulling down on Columna's head. It's preventing any offense from Columna, at least for the moment.
Columna wants to stand but Kilgore is controlling his posture from full guard.
Fernando Columna has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kharn Kilgore is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kilgore not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

I would just about give that final round to Kharn Kilgore.
I've got Kilgore winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Kharn Kilgore tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
