Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aron Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Janne Jakoavain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aron Chan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
29 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Janne Jakoavain! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jakoavain connects with a right hand. Chan shakes it off. Jakoavain leaves Chan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Chan throws a head kick but Jakoavain moves out of range.
Chan shoots in but no luck this time. Chan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Chan moves in looking to clinch but Jakoavain pushes him off.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Chan. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Chan blocks the strikes from Jakoavain.
Chan looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Jakoavain prevents Chan from moving into mount. Jakoavain is looking for a sweep. Jakoavain is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Chan creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Jakoavain sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Jakoavain tries to bench press Chan off him but Chan keeps the position.
Chan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jakoavain tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Jakoavain tries to escape but Chan is in control. Chan wants to stand but Jakoavain has his arm trapped. Chan working the strikes but Jakoavain uses the opportunity to regain half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chan is working for a kimura but Jakoavain is defending it quite comfortably.
Chan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Chan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Jakoavain is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Chan sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jakoavain defending well though. Chan looks to land a strike but Jakoavain avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Chan throwing strikes but missing. Chan is looking to work some ground and pound but Jakoavain has wrist control. Chan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jakoavain works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Chan throws a strike but Jakoavain rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jakoavain is stalling in the full guard.

Chan is working an open guard so Jakoavain takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Jakoavain feints and then cracks Chan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Chan down. Chan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jakoavain is fending him off so far but Chan persists. Nope, Jakoavain circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aron Chan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chan fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jakoavain stuffs the takedown. Chan throws a low kick but Jakoavain avoids it.
Chan looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Chan sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jakoavain defending well though.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Chan trying to mount his opponent but Jakoavain defends it. Chan moves nicely into side control. Chan tries to move to mount but Jakoavain blocks the move with his legs. This has been an exciting period of action! Chan tries to get to his feet but Jakoavain is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Chan in his guard. Chan wants to stand and escape but instead Jakoavain has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jakoavain is one step ahead there. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Chan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jakoavain's waist but Jakoavain gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chan off to one side. Jakoavain lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chan circles away quickly and effectively. Chan tries for a takedown but Jakoavain sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jakoavain wants it to stay on the feet.

Chan gets slowly back to his feet. Chan dives in and grabs Jakoavain's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jakoavain pushes down on Chan's head and hops out. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jakoavain feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Chans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Chan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Chan keeps the fight on the outside. Jakoavain tries to clinch but Chan is having none of it. Chan shoots in for a takedown but Jakoavain shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Chan has a takedown stuffed. Chan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jakoavain is fending him off so far but Chan persists. Nope, Jakoavain circles away and we're back to standing. Chan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

Jakoavain throws a leg kick which misses Chan's front leg but catches the back leg as Chan tries to avoid it. Chan has a takedown stuffed. Jakoavain looks to score with a jab to the body but Chan is just out of range.
Chan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chan swings around for an armbar but Jakoavain sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Chan's guard. Jakoavain is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Jakoavain in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Jakoavain wants to get up but he can't break Chan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Chan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jakoavain defends it easily. Jakoavain scoring with some ground and pound.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Jakoavain trying to control the position from guard on top but Chan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jakoavain sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Chan's guard. Chan punching from the bottom.
Jakoavain scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Jakoavain content to control rather than advance. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Chan is staying active underneath Jakoavain, who seems content to just control the action from this position. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Janne Jakoavain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Chan lands a nice looking body kick. Chan with a lazy takedown attempt and Jakoavain counters with a leg kick. Chan throws a shot from downtown. Jakoavain moves away and avoids it. Chan shoots in for a double leg but Jakoavain sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Jakoavain. Chan shrugs it off though. Chan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jakoavain.

Chan shoots in and drives through. Jakoavain sprawls well. Chan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Chan takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Jakoavain lands a high kick!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jakoavain throws a push kick but Chan slaps the foot to one side. Nice sprawl there from Jakoavain as Chan shoots in.
And that's the end of the fight! Janne Jakoavain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jakoavain has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Janne Jakoavain! In his post fight interview, Janne Jakoavain started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
