Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Laid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bradley Nowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nowell has chosen Doin Time as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nowell has Laid up against the cage in a clinch.

Nowell lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Nowell stops Laid from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Laid is defending against the submission attempts here by Nowell.
Nowell takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nowell creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Laid sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Nowell slows the pace down.
Laid wants to get back to his feet.
Nowell trying to control the position but Laid is working away.
Laid is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Nowell is controlling him well.
Laid tries to buck Nowell off but Nowell is having none of it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Laid looks like he's trying to stand up.
Nowell wants to control but Laid is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Nowell forces Laid back against the cage and clinches.
With the fighters up against the cage, Nowell throws an elbow but misses.
Nowell stops a takedown attempt from Laid.

Nowell tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Nowell using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Laid has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Nowell throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Laid blocks it with crossed arms.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Nowell just misses with a elbow thrown towards Laid's brow.

Mike Laid's cut is getting worse.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nowell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Laid paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nowell has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Laid loses concentration momentarily and Nowell pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Laid crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Nowell finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
