3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rooy Tahnupa! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bzdunek drops his shoulder and cracks Tahnupa with a huge uppercut! Tahnupa goes down! Can Bzdunek finish him?

It looks like Rooy Tahnupa has been cut. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tahnupa can do anything to dispel that myth. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bzdunek trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Tahnupa is still in real trouble! Can Bzdunek finish him? Bzdunek prevents Tahnupa from getting back to his feet. Tahnupa seems to have recovered his senses. Tahnupa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bzdunek. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tahnupa is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Bzdunek pushes down on Tahnupa's leg and manages to get into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tahnupa is staying active underneath Bzdunek, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Bzdunek is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bzdunek is looking to advance position but Tahnupa won't allow it. Bzdunek seems to be looking for submissions.

Tahnupa drops his hands momentarily and Bzdunek takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Bzdunek drops Tahnupa with a huge uppercut! Tahnupa drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Bzdunek is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Bzdunek! After the fight, John Bzdunek was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
