Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Conrad Kirkland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Jay Chuu Nogueira-Nigeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antonio Jay Chuu Nogueira-Nigeshi! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nogueira-Nigeshi gets a double leg takedown into Kirkland's guard. Nogueira-Nigeshi in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kirkland really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kirkland keeping full guard, as Nogueira-Nigeshi tries to pass. Nogueira-Nigeshi postures up in Kirkland's guard and throws a big left but Kirkland blocks it. Nogueira-Nigeshi throwing strikes but missing. Nogueira-Nigeshi trying to control but Kirkland is working from the bottom. Kirkland keeping full guard, as Nogueira-Nigeshi tries to pass. Nogueira-Nigeshi throwing strikes but missing. Nogueira-Nigeshi is looking to work some ground and pound but Kirkland has wrist control. Kirkland keeping full guard, as Nogueira-Nigeshi tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nogueira-Nigeshi loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kirkland can't keep his opponent in guard - Nogueira-Nigeshi advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kirkland is staying active underneath Nogueira-Nigeshi, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Nogueira-Nigeshi not landing any meaningful shots this time. Nogueira-Nigeshi seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Nogueira-Nigeshi wants to work for an arm triangle but Kirkland is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Nogueira-Nigeshi uses his free foot to push down on Kirkland's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kirkland. Nogueira-Nigeshi scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Kirkland?

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kirkland taking shots to the head. Nogueira-Nigeshi working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Kirkland is rocked! Nogueira-Nigeshi landing strikes from the mount. Oh Kirkland is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Nogueira-Nigeshi controlling his opponent. Kirkland is squirming around, avoiding Nogueira-Nigeshi's attempts to control the action. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Nogueira-Nigeshi lands a nice shot to the head. Nogueira-Nigeshi trying to control but Kirkland is having none of it. Nogueira-Nigeshi is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kirkland can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Nogueira-Nigeshi is firing away with more strikes - Kirkland is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
