The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rock shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rock was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Griffin is looking to reverse the position.
Rock tries to advance to mount but Griffin denies him.
Griffin tries to bench press Rock off him but Rock keeps the position.
Griffin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rock is looking to take a break and control but Griffin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rock is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Griffin is trying to escape and Rock transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Griffin is forced to tap! Nice work there by Rock! Very nice indeed!
