Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Herbert Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Grapist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grapist has chosen Know Your Enemy by Rage Against the Machine as his entrance music. Herbert Hughes is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jerry Grapist!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grapist throws a hook but Hughes blocks it.
Grapist misses the shot to the body.
A head kick from Hughes lands but Grapist takes it in his stride.
Hughes lands the left hand.
Grapist looks to land a right hand but Hughes moved out of range.
Hughes throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Hughes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hughes works over Grapist with some ground and pound from guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hughes controls from within his opponent's guard.
Hughes passes Grapist's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hughes winds up and cracks Grapist with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hughes wants to pass to mount but Grapist is defending the position.
Hughes passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Grapist!
Hughes landing strikes from the mount.

Grapist trying desperately to get to his feet.
Hughes takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Grapist is wriggling around trying to escape.
Grapist wants to control but Hughes is having none of it.
Hughes pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Grapist wants to control but Hughes is having none of it.

Grapist is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Grapist looks winded!
Hughes is landing with some decent strikes but Grapist is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Hughes controlling the pace for now.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hughes has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Hughes's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Hughes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hughes is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Grapist can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Hughes postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Grapist looks a forlorn figure.
