Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lance Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Roach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lance Stevens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Roach! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Stevens. Roach does a little dance to reset his feet. Roach ducks under a wild hook from Stevens. Roach takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Stevens, as that shot connected.
Roach shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Stevens napping and manages to drive through into side control! Stevens struggling a bit here. Stevens tries to buck Roach off but Roach is having none of it. Roach thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Roach is looking to take a break and control but Stevens is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Stevens tries to improve position but can't. Roach is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stevens is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Roach tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roach tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Roach has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Stevens pushes Roach away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Roach gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Stevens tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Roach wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Roach has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roach working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Roach pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Roach goes for an armbar but Stevens turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Stevens. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stevens accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Roach has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stevens can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Stevens trying to stand up but can't free himself from Roach's guard. Stevens has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Roach throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roach shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stevens as he jumps to the side. Stevens jabs Roach right on the nose. Roach blinks but takes it well. Stevens throws the left hand but Roach avoids the punch easily. Stevens throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Stevens lands a slapping body shot.
Roach shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Roach was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Roach is trying to get an arm triangle but Stevens is defending well. Roach is trying to get an arm triangle but Stevens is defending well. Stevens tries to bench press Roach off him but Roach keeps the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stevens struggling a bit here. Stevens is trying to improve his position. Roach trying to control the position but Stevens is working away. Stevens tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Roach is looking for the choke from the back position but Stevens is controlling his hands well. Roach is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Stevens knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Stevens for a finish. Roach working for the choke.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stevens defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Roach's arms. Stevens tries to escape but Roach has the hooks in and won't let him break free. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Roach keeps control of the position easily here as Stevens tries to buck him off.
Roach working for a choke but Stevens is defending well. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Roach is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bobby Roach showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Stevens lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Stevens fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Stevens uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Roach has time to react. Roach walks into a jab. Stevens throws a hook to the side of Roach's head but Roach sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Roach throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Decent striking displayed by Stevens there. Stevens throws a hook but Roach blocks it. No luck with that takedown attempt from Roach. Stevens throws a lazy right hand but Roach sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A telegraphed right hand from Stevens misses the target. Stevens scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Roach doesn't seem bothered though. Stevens defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Roach. Stevens thows a left - swing and a miss! Roach looking to score a takedown here. Stevens is defending well but Roach drives through and ends up in Stevens's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stevens wants to stand and escape but Roach is having none of it. Stevens pulls Roach in close to prevent any damage. Stevens looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Stevens is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Stevens trying to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Lance Stevens just wasn't active enough. Stevens misses with a lunging right hand
and Roach counters with a shoot takedown. Stevens fights it but they end up in guard. Stevens looking for a sweep. Not yet Stevens, not yet. Stevens working a defensive guard here.
Roach is pushing down on Stevens's leg trying to pass to half guard. Stevens is fighting to maintain full guard but Roach has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stevens wants to control but Roach is keeping busy and won't allow it. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Roach not landing any meaningful shots this time. Stevens swings and misses with a shot to the body and Roach counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Stevens! Stevens is trying to buck Roach off. Roach wants to control but Stevens is keeping him busy. Roach working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Stevens struggling a bit here.

Stevens throws a nice looking combination but Roach bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Roach keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Stevens. Stevens avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Stevens lands an overhand right. Lance Stevens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roach tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stevens sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Roach somewhat. Stevens throws an overhand right that lands on Roach's shoulder, as Roach tries to avoid the shot. Roach takes a jab right on the kisser.
Stevens blocks a jab. Roach throws a predictable looking body shot
and Stevens cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A punch combination from Stevens misses. Roach fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Roach throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stevens swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Stevens misses with an uppercut. Roach saw that one coming. Stevens throws a jab but it's blocked by Roach. Lance Stevens is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Stevens avoids the body shot from Roach.
Roach throws a hook to the side of Stevens's head but Stevens sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Stevens misses with a jab, cross combination.
Roach takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Stevens slips a jab from Roach. Roach uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Stevens. Roach looks for a takedown but Stevens sprawls well. Lance Stevens has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Roach. Roach has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Roach fails with a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stevens loads up on a big right hand but Roach slips the punch. Roach uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Stevens. Roach avoids the body shot from Stevens.
Roach throws a leg kick but Stevens checks it. Stevens dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Stevens throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stevens looks to land a left hand but Roach moved out of range nicely. The fighters circle momentarily. Stevens darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Stevens misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Roach.
Roach fails to land the takedown. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Roach slips under a jab. Roach throws a jab when Stevens was well out of range. Stevens lands a jab to the nose.
And that's the end of the fight! Lance Stevens showed his dominance in that final round. I think Roach has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
