Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes to the ring accompanied by Fort Minor-Remember The Name. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Adam Dixon! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dixon fails with a takedown attempt. Diaz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dixon sprawls well. Dixon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Diaz gets slowly back to his feet. Diaz feints and as Dixon raises his hands in defense, Diaz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Dixon keeping moving, preventing Diaz from controlling successfully. Diaz is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dixon is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dixon has escaped and now he's on top! Dixon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Diaz kicks Dixon off and gets to his feet. Dixon throws a hook but Diaz avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz lands a jab to Dixon's midsection. Diaz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Diaz scores with a takedown into Dixon's guard. Diaz controls from within his opponent's guard. Dixon working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Diaz. Dixon keeping moving, preventing Diaz from controlling successfully. Dixon tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz's corner is telling him to maintain position. Diaz postures up.
Dixon is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Diaz defends well. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Diaz trying to control but Dixon is working from the bottom. Diaz stands and throws Dixon's legs to the side, diving into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Diaz trying to control the position but Dixon is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz misses with the ground and pound. Diaz tries for a kimura but Dixon is defending well. Diaz wants to take a breather but Dixon manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Diaz. Dixon not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dixon can't keep his opponent in guard - Diaz advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Diaz is trying to work for a kimura but Dixon is defending well.
Diaz is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's six minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Diaz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dixon doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Diaz. Diaz is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Dixon works his way to full guard. Good work.

But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Diaz, into his guard.

Dixon is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Diaz is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
