Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clock Stop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darius Grimshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clock Stop! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darius Grimshaw! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grimshaw has a takedown stuffed. Grimshaw shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stop sprawls well. Stop wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Grimshaw gets slowly back to his feet. Grimshaw fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Clock Stop has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darius Grimshaw. Stop tries to clinch but fails miserably so Grimshaw counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Grimshaw trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Stop manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Grimshaw is looking to get to half guard. Stop with the ground and pound from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stop trying to control but Grimshaw is having none of it. Grimshaw wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Stop.
Grimshaw looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Stop has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Stop is persistently looking for the submission but Grimshaw is defending it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. I really don't envy Grimshaw right now.
Stop tries to get the hooks in deep but Grimshaw pushed the leg off. Stop doesn't have the hooks in and Grimshaw manages to turn into his guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Grimshaw has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stop is proving hard to escape from. Stop is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Grimshaw tries to stand but Stop is controlling from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stop is trying to keep Grimshaw in close.
Grimshaw pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stop is keeping the position for now. Grimshaw stands and throws Stop's legs to the side, diving into side control. Grimshaw wants to control but Stop is keeping him busy. Grimshaw tries for a kimura but Stop is defending well. Grimshaw tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stop is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Stop is looking for a sweep. Grimshaw is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Stop is trying to stand up here but Grimshaw is controlling him well. Grimshaw seems to be working for a kimura but Stop defends the submission attempt. Grimshaw seems to be looking for submissions.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Grimshaw seems to be working for a kimura but Stop defends the submission attempt. Stop has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Grimshaw is working away from the top position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Clock Stop will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Grimshaw shoots for a takedown but Stop saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A momentary lapse in concentration from Stop enables Grimshaw to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stop manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Grimshaw is looking to work some ground and pound but Stop has wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grimshaw wants to control from the top but Stop keeps moving. Stop not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Clock Stop overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Grimshaw stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stop swivels though and keeps the full guard. Stop has a closed guard, preventing Grimshaw from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grimshaw is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Stop is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Stop has escaped and now he's on top! Stop is looking to work some ground and pound but Grimshaw has wrist control. Stop is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Grimshaw stuffs the takedown attempt from Stop. Stop gets slowly back to his feet. Grimshaw has managed to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grimshaw struggles to land a body shot inside as Stop controls his hands.
Grimshaw jumps guard and drags Stop to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Stop stops Grimshaw from standing up. Grimshaw has a closed guard, preventing Stop from standing up. Grimshaw not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Stop wanted to stand there but Grimshaw had control of the position.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Darius Grimshaw hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. A momentary lapse in concentration from Grimshaw enables Stop to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Grimshaw manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stop is fighting to break Grimshaw's control of his arms but Grimshaw is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Stop would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stop has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Grimshaw to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Stop is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Grimshaw pulls down on the head and he's put Stop to sleep! This one is all over!
