Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between mr pearl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz has chosen National Anthem as his entrance music. Diego Diaz acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, mr pearl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Diego Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
pearl throws a solid leg kick but Diaz takes the impact on his shin and smiles at pearl.
pearl shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Diaz pinned against the cage. Diaz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Diaz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. pearl tries to avoid it but Diaz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag pearl to the ground. pearl escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

pearl content to control rather than advance.
pearl will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Diaz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

pearl perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
pearl seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Diaz for as long as he can get away with.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

pearl is really struggling to control Diaz but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Diaz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with pearl. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Diaz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Diaz is bucking up trying to escape but pearl cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

pearl lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

pearl closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

pearl misses with a knee to the head.
Diaz prevents pearl from breaking the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the ropes, as the pace of the fight slows.
pearl pushes Diaz back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch.

pearl breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
pearl fails to land the takedown.

and pearl counters with a left and a right that stings Diaz.
pearl shoots in for a double leg but Diaz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Diaz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from pearl finds it's way round the side to connect with Diaz's head.

The fight stays on the outside here - pearl looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

pearl scores with a shot to the side of Diaz's head.
pearl is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Diaz pulls him back up using the underhooks.

pearl has Diaz pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Diaz manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

pearl wants the takedown. Diaz is fighting it off but pearl persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Diaz's guard against the ropes.
pearl stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Diaz swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
pearl wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving.
pearl slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

You can see the frustration on Diaz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

pearl decides to stand back up. pearl steps back and let's Diaz get back to his feet.
