Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicholas Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes to the cage accompanied by NWO Wolfpack. Johnson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by On March The Saints. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nicholas Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown but James shows good takedown defense.

Johnson drives through with a takedown into guard.

James is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Johnson throws a big elbow that misses.
James looking to hit a scissor sweep but Johnson is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
James tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by James.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Johnson is defended easily by James.
Johnson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
James bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
James throws a jab when Johnson was well out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from James.
James keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Johnson.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nicholas Johnson dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


James throws a front kick aimed at Johnson's knee but Johnson avoids it well.

and James counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Jimmy James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicholas Johnson.
James keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
James tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Johnson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Johnson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
James turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by James. That's going to slow Johnson down.

Johnson takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Johnson has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by James.

James lands a big head kick that sends Johnson tumbling to the mat! James takes a step backwards and waves Johnson back to his feet - he wants the finish!
James feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Johnson's calf.

James tries to land a knee to the head but Johnson blocks with his arms.
Johnson's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
James misses with an elbow over the top.
James creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Johnson! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for James.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy James!
A less than humble Jimmy James misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
