Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Boss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez has chosen Hotel California (Spanish) - Gypsie Kings as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Sanchez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boss as he jumps to the side. Boss tries for a takedown but Sanchez circles away easily and Sanchez counters with a takedown into side control. Boss is trying to get back to half guard. Sanchez lands a nice forearm strike. Boss sneaks back into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Boss is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Boss tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Boss is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Boss tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Sanchez passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Sanchez is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Sanchez is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boss throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Boss is pressing down on Sanchez's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Sanchez preventing the sweep. Boss has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sanchez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Boss is breathing heavily. Sanchez trying to stand up but can't free himself from Boss's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boss wants to sweep but no luck. Sanchez has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Boss is proving hard to escape from. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Boss is on top in guard.
Boss wants to pass the guard but Sanchez is keeping the position. Sanchez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Boss is controlling him. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Boss throws a big right hand that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Boss preventing the sweep. Boss loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Sanchez is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Sanchez wants to sweep here but Boss controlling him for the moment. Sanchez preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sanchez drives through and clinches with Boss against the cage.
Sanchez lands a right hand that snaps the head of Boss backwards. Sanchez jumps into guard, dragging Boss to the mat.
Boss postures up.
Sanchez has control of Boss's left arm, preventing Boss from doing any damage. Boss postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Boss won't allow Sanchez to sweep him here. Sanchez is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Sanchez breaks the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Sanchez tries to clinch but Boss moves out of range. Sanchez instigates a clinch. Boss on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Boss throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sanchez works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Boss has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Boss trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Sanchez controls Boss momentarily but Boss frees himself. Sanchez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Boss's guard. Boss throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Sanchez escapes and throws Boss's legs to the side, diving into side control! Boss sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boss looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanchez lands strikes from half guard. Sanchez seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Boss wants to get back to full guard. Boss is pressing down on Sanchez's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Boss is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sanchez passes Boss's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Sanchez wants to stand but Boss has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Boss moves into full guard.
Boss has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Sanchez has passed into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Boss gets back to half guard. Sanchez seems to be looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesus Sanchez dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Sanchez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Sanchez pushes Boss off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Boss misses with a takedown and Sanchez counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Sanchez lands strikes from half guard.
Boss is rocked!Boss wants to get back to full guard but Sanchez has passed into side control. Oh Boss is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! A nice elbow there by Sanchez. Sanchez lands a nice shot to the head. Sanchez scoring with strikes but Boss is staying in there. Sanchez punishing his opponent with strikes. Jesus Sanchez has got the better of the ground game so far. Sanchez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Boss's face.
Sanchez postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Boss looks a forlorn figure.
Sanchez with shots to the head and body - Boss looks very uncomfortable down there. Sanchez with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Sanchez lands a heavy elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Boss manages to avoid the submission attempt. Sanchez is breathing heavily. Sanchez lands a decent elbow from side control. Sanchez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Sanchez landing a few strikes. Sanchez working the head with strikes. Boss looking for a sweep but Sanchez has passed into full mount! Oh no! Boss is trying to reverse the position but instead Sanchez has taken his back - oops! Boss tries to escape but Sanchez has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Sanchez is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Sanchez gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Sanchez gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Sanchez apologises and we restart here on the feet.
A big left from Sanchez misses. Boss has his takedown stuffed and Sanchez counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Boss falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
