Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Nich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oscar Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nich kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is This Calling. Oscar Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Oscar Silva! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Silva showed some decent athleticism there. Silva thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Silva not landing any meaningful shots this time. Silva thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Silva wants to stand up but Nich manages to regain full guard. Nich keeping full guard, as Silva tries to pass. Nich is looking to stand back up but Silva counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Nich. Silva trying to control the action but Nich is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nich parries the strikes from Silva easily there. Silva is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Nich to escape.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Nich tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Silva swivels and escapes. Nich shoots in and drives through. Silva sprawls well. Nich rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nice takedown defense from Nich. No joy for Silva on that attempt. A punch lands to the side of Nich 's head but he takes it in his stride. The fight moves into the clinch position. Nich wants to break free but Silva has control.

Silva is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Nich pulls his head out easily. Silva looks gassed! Silva manages to escape and get back to his feet! Silva decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Silva is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Nich works his way to full guard. Good work. Silva must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nich keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nich is pulling down on Silva's head. It's preventing any offense from Silva, at least for the moment. Nich working for a triangle but Silva defends it easily.
Silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Silva looking to sit in guard and control but Nich gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nich gets to his feet. Silva looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Nich clinches with his opponent.
Nich wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Silva keeps control of Nich as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Nich wants to break free but Silva has control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oscar Silva dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Nich shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Silva working a defensive guard but Nich passes into half guard.
Silva is looking for a sweep. Nich is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Nich controlling the action here. Nich is pressing down on Silva's thigh, looking to free his foot. Silva is holding on for now. Ground and pound from Nich.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva taking some punishment here, with Nich in his half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The fighters are battling for position here. Silva manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Nich slips nicely into half guard. Silva trying to control here.
Silva pushes Nich off, looking to escape but Nich dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Silva is forced to tap! The fight is over!
