Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Amelie Poulain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wesley Weber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Weber is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Scotland the Brave. Amelie Poulain has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Weber feints and as Poulain raises his hands in defense, Weber changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Poulain looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Weber trying to control the position from guard on top but Poulain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wesley Weber has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Weber is keen to just control but Poulain is a slippery customer.

Poulain has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Weber must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Poulain gets caught flat footed, as Weber shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Amelie Poulain will probably get the nod.

Weber is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Poulain scores with a couple of nice shots.

A big strike lands for Poulain! That's really hurt Weber and he's turned his back - Poulain keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Poulain jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
