Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cu IV (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Humberto Manuel Arboleda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arboleda has chosen ASTAROTH - GUERRA DE METAL as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Cu IV has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Humberto Manuel Arboleda!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arboleda closes the distance looking to clinch
and IV counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Arboleda tries to clinch but IV is having none of it.
IV takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and Arboleda takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


It looks like Humberto Manuel Arboleda has been cut.

Arboleda gets in close and instigates a clinch.
IV drops down looking for an ankle pick but Arboleda pulls his leg out and moves away.

and IV counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Arboleda tries to keep at a distance but IV has taken the fight into the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
IV has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Arboleda after a bit of a struggle.
Arboleda is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but IV is keeping busy.
IV goes for a takedown attempt but Arboleda pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Arboleda just misses with a elbow thrown towards IV's brow.
IV tries to score a body lock takedown but Arboleda shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

and IV counters with a series of strikes. Arboleda will be more careful next time no doubt.

and IV counters with a takedown into side control.
IV misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Arboleda is looking to regain half guard here but IV keeps moving and retains side control.
Arboleda is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but IV has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Arboleda is working to avoid the ground and pound but IV connects with a decent elbow.
Arboleda pushes IV away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, IV gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
