Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sakari Nurmi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Dragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nurmi comes to the cage accompanied by Turisas -Take the day!. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sakari Nurmi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Phil Dragon! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dragon misses with a double jab
and Nurmi counters with a lovely shot to the body. Phil Dragon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nurmi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dragon manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Nurmi working some strikes from top position. Nurmi slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Nurmi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nurmi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nurmi trying to control the position but Dragon is working away. Dragon is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Nurmi in side control lands a decent elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nurmi moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Dragon takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Nurmi looks up at the clock and then as Dragon takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Nurmi smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Nurmi just content to control the position. Nurmi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dragon has escaped the position, nice work there. Nurmi tries for a kimura but Dragon is defending well. Nurmi cracks Dragon with an elbow. That is naaassty. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nurmi trying to control the position but Dragon is working away. Dragon is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nurmi has hold of Dragon's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Dragon tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Nurmi cranks the arm and Dragon screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Dragon, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Sakari Nurmi! Our winner, Sakari Nurmi, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
