Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stefan Thorup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Irvin Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ross has chosen Harlem Shake as his entrance music. Irvin Ross told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ross keeps the fight on the outside. Irvin Ross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ross lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Ross has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Thorup. Thorup scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Ross moves out of range as Thorup throws a body kick.
Ross misses with a wild body shot. Thorup will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ross connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ross keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ross stuffs the takedown attempt from Thorup. Thorup gets caught flat footed, as Ross shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Thorup bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ross's guard. Thorup is working Ross over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Thorup wants to control from the top but Ross keeps moving. Ross is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Ross is working for takedown but Thorup is calmly controlling the position for now. Thorup keeps control of Ross as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Ross has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Thorup regains guard immediately. Ross really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thorup. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. This has been an exciting period of action! Ross looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Thorup with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ross lands a nice short elbow. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ross lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Thorup! More strikes land and this one is all over! Ross jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Irvin Ross! A relieved looking Irvin Ross thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
