The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko gets a clinch.
Emelianenko tries to work over Pesina's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Pesina breaks from the clinch.

Pesina lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Pesina fakes the leg kick and cracks Emelianenko in the body.
Emelianenko is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pesina misses with a head kick.
Pesina throws a front kick that sends Emelianenko stumbling back into the cage.
Pesina throws out a loose jab but Emelianenko uses good head movement to avoid it.
Pesina shoots in looking for a takedown but Emelianenko manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pesina's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Pesina misses with a head kick.
Pesina goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Pesina instigates a clinch.
Pesina manages to pull guard.
Emelianenko postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Pesina wants to stand but Emelianenko is controlling the position.

Emelianenko throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Pesina is looking to stand up but Emelianenko isn't so interested in that idea.
Pesina is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Pesina is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Pesina moves into full mount! Emelianenko won't be happy about that!

Emelianenko has left one of his arms exposed and Pesina doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Emelianenko screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
