Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Silas Peppercorn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lincoln Hawk! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawk shoots in and bounces Peppercorn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Peppercorn is trying to control the position but Hawk postures up. Hawk pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Peppercorn is keeping the position for now. Hawk trying to control but Peppercorn is working from the bottom. Peppercorn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hawk can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hawk would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Hawk gets to his feet. Peppercorn looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawk has managed to clinch.
Hawk has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Peppercorn is trying to keep an underhook but Hawk manages to get the takedown into half guard. Hawk wants to control but Peppercorn is keeping him busy. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Peppercorn is doing well to control the position and prevent Hawk from advancing to side control. Peppercorn wants to control but Hawk is keeping busy and won't allow it. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hawk connects with a nice short shot to Peppercorn's temple. Peppercorn is looking to control Hawk's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Peppercorn avoid being mounted? Hawk missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Peppercorn has hold of Hawk's hands but Hawk slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Hawk lands with a punch from half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hawk missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Hawk passes into side control, despite Peppercorn's attempt to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hawk throws a strike aimed at the side of Peppercorn's head but Peppercorn avoids it well. Hawk stands up and beckons Peppercorn to his feet. A momentary lapse in concentration from Peppercorn enables Hawk to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Peppercorn manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Hawk is pushing down on Peppercorn's leg trying to pass to half guard. Peppercorn is fighting to maintain full guard but Hawk has managed to sneak the leg through. Hawk is looking to take a break and control but Peppercorn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hawk decides to stand and escape the position. Peppercorn doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hawk counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hawk won't allow Peppercorn to get back to his feet. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Hawk seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawk wants to stand but Peppercorn is controlling his posture from full guard. Hawk stops Peppercorn from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Peppercorn is trying to control the position but Hawk postures up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hawk dives in and grabs Peppercorn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Peppercorn pushes down on Hawk's head and hops out. Hawk gets a takedown into half guard. Peppercorn avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hawk. Peppercorn trying to control from the bottom.
Peppercorn is trying to stand up here but Hawk is controlling him well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hawk is looking to stall here but Peppercorn recovers full guard. Hawk throwing strikes but missing. Hawk gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Hawk shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Peppercorn's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Peppercorn is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Peppercorn is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Peppercorn is breathing heavily. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hawk wants to stand and escape but instead Peppercorn has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Hawk tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lincoln Hawk dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Peppercorn goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Hawk drives through with a takedown into guard. Hawk postures up and lands a big shot to Peppercorn's brow. Peppercorn trying to keep a closed guard but Hawk is proving a slippery customer.
Hawk must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Peppercorn manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hawk manages to get himself to full guard.

Hawk is keeping the position for now. Hawk has his feet on Peppercorn's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peppercorn stuffs the takedown. Hawk takes the fight into the clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Hawk as Peppercorn tries to tie him up. Hawk cracks Peppercorn with a nice body shot. Hawk gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Peppercorn is refusing to be controlled, as Hawk sits in half guard. Hawk wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Peppercorn is pressing down on Hawk's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Hawk has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Peppercorn is proving hard to escape from. Hawk postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hawk prevents Peppercorn from getting back to his feet. Lincoln Hawk has got the better of the ground game so far. Peppercorn working for a triangle but Hawk defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawk has a closed guard, preventing Peppercorn from standing up. Hawk trying to control the position here. Hawk is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Peppercorn is controlling him. Hawk is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Lincoln Hawk has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Peppercorn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hawk swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peppercorn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hawk as he jumps to the side. Peppercorn lands with a kick to the ribs.

Hawk has closed the distance and engaged Peppercorn in a clinch.
Hawk stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Peppercorn is trying to push Hawk away but Hawk has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Hawk turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! This has been an exciting period of action! Hawk trying to control the action but Peppercorn is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hawk tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hawk has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Peppercorn is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Hawk is controlling him well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lincoln Hawk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Hawk rushes Peppercorn and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Peppercorn wants a takedown.
Hawk has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Peppercorn clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Hawk throwing wild punches that miss their target. Peppercorn rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Peppercorn is trying to maintain the position but Hawk is very close to passing his half guard. Hawk slips a nice elbow through Peppercorn's hands, connecting with Peppercorn's forehead. Hawk wants to pass the guard but Peppercorn is defending well. Peppercorn wants to get back to full guard. Hawk tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Peppercorn. Peppercorn is trying to control but can't.

Hawk seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Peppercorn does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Hawk is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Peppercorn defends it well. Hawk looks to land a strike but Peppercorn avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Hawk stands up and waves to Peppercorn to follow him. Hawk has closed the distance and engaged Peppercorn in a clinch.
Hawk digs a right hand underneath Peppercorn's ribcage. Peppercorn let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Peppercorn is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hawk is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Peppercorn to the mat. Peppercorn regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Hawk tries to free his leg and advance position but Peppercorn is retaining full guard. Hawk missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hawk pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Peppercorn is keeping the position for now. Peppercorn is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hawk makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Peppercorn is looking to stand up but Hawk isn't so interested in that idea. Hawk wants to control from the top but Peppercorn keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawk trying to stand up but can't free himself from Peppercorn's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hawk postures up.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Peppercorn keeping moving, preventing Hawk from controlling successfully.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Peppercorn moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Hawk moves into the clinch successfully.
Peppercorn wants to get back to striking at distance but Hawk won't allow it.
Hawk has picked Peppercorn up - he's going for a ride! Hawk dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Hawk takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hawk is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Peppercorn is trying to stand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hawk controlling the action here. Peppercorn tries to roll over but Hawk keeps him under control. Peppercorn slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Hawk content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Peppercorn is trying to control the position but Hawk postures up. Peppercorn keeping moving, preventing Hawk from controlling successfully. Silas Peppercorn has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lincoln Hawk is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Hawk stops Peppercorn from standing up.
And that's the end of the fight! Lincoln Hawk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Hawk winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
