Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Mera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Mera has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nathan Silver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jose Mera! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mera fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silver avoids it really well and circles away. Silver lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Silver connects with a solid leg kick. Silver slips under a jab. Mera fails with a takedown attempt. Mera takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Jose Mera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silver lands with a good body shot. Mera has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mera there as he acknowledges the shot. Mera takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mera throws a hook to the side of Silver's head but Silver sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Mera drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mera has knee on belly and moves into mount. Silver is squirming around, avoiding Mera's attempts to control the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silver is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Mera swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
