Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Willie Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yeged Kranik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Willie Nelson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yeged Kranik! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nelson shoots in for a double leg but Kranik sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kranik leaves Nelson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kranik changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nelson tries to avoid it but Kranik manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nelson to the ground. Nelson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nelson leaves Kranik with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Nice takedown defense from Kranik. No joy for Nelson on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Willie Nelson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nelson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kranik decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Kranik prevents Nelson from improving his position. Nelson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kranik is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Nelson wants to get back to full guard. Kranik is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nelson is just riding it out for now. Kranik eventually gives up the hold. Kranik wants to work for an arm triangle but Nelson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson actively working from the bottom here. Nelson gets back to full guard.
Nelson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kranik is one step ahead there. Kranik passes Nelson's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nelson is defending against the submission attempts here by Kranik.
Kranik is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Nelson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Nelson looking for submissions off his back. Nelson is pressing down on Kranik's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kranik drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Kranik as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Nelson screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Kranik! Nice submission victory there!
