Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Ham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Goban MacKenna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steven Ham! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Goban MacKenna! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Roberts and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacKenna is looking to clinch but Ham is avoiding it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from MacKenna. MacKenna is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ham sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. MacKenna dives in and grabs Ham's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ham pushes down on MacKenna's head and hops out. Steven Ham has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Goban MacKenna. MacKenna tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ham manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ham sizes up MacKenna with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. MacKenna will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. MacKenna tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ham throws out a loose jab but MacKenna uses good head movement to avoid it. Ham will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
MacKenna fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Steven Ham is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. MacKenna closes the distance and clinches up with Ham, looking for a takedown. MacKenna pushes Ham against the cage but Ham circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A jab from Ham finds it's way through MacKenna's defenses. Ham misses with an uppercut. MacKenna saw that one coming. A telegraphed takedown attempt from MacKenna is defended easily by Ham. Ham lands a head shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! MacKenna tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. MacKenna tries to clinch up and Ham counters with a stiff right hand. MacKenna has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ham finds it's way round the side to connect with MacKenna's head. Ham is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. MacKenna moves away from the strike by Ham. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from MacKenna. MacKenna misses with a two punch combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round. MacKenna misses with a jab, cross combination.
MacKenna looks winded! Ham misses with a hook. MacKenna misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ham works the jab nicely. MacKenna closes the distance but Ham moves to the side and Ham counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ham rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but MacKenna moves out of range and avoids them all easily. MacKenna closes the distance looking to clinch and Ham counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! MacKenna throws a series of punches but Ham moves out of range. MacKenna shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ham pinned against the cage. Ham gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ham scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! MacKenna misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ham is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Ham circles away from the clinch attempt and Ham counters with a nice right hand that sends MacKenna toppling to the canvas! MacKenna scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Ham finish him?! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steven Ham dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Ham plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends MacKenna swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! MacKenna face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Steven Ham!
