Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Felippe Francisco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daiki Hitoshi!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Francisco throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hitoshi scores with a hook to the body. Francisco takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Francisco throws a sloppy head kick and Hitoshi moves out of range easily.
Francisco misses with a hook. Hitoshi ducked under it nicely.
Hitoshi has a takedown stuffed.
Francisco throws a leg kick which misses Hitoshi's front leg but catches the back leg as Hitoshi tries to avoid it.
Hitoshi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Francisco was well out of range. Poor timing from Hitoshi.
Francisco scores with a nice right hand.
Francisco tries a head kick but it misses.
Francisco throws a shot from downtown. Hitoshi moves away and avoids it.
Francisco buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Francisco tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Hitoshi is able to avoid easily.
Francisco doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hitoshi misses with a jab, cross combination.
Felippe Francisco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hitoshi just misses with a punch to the body.
Hitoshi digs a good hook to Francisco's body.
Felippe Francisco is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hitoshi just misses with a punch to the body.
Hitoshi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hitoshi lands a slapping body shot.
Francisco pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hitoshi avoids the head kick by Francisco.

Hitoshi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Francisco as he jumps to the side.

Francisco fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hitoshi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Hitoshi is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Francisco rather than just go for the knockout.
Francisco lands a jab to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hitoshi avoids the head kick by Francisco.
Francisco misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Francisco uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hitoshi.
A head kick from Francisco lands but Hitoshi takes it in his stride.


It looks like Daiki Hitoshi has been cut.
Francisco avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Francisco tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hitoshi was well out of range. Poor timing from Francisco.
Francisco throws a quick inside leg kick.
Francisco swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Hitoshi counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Francisco throws a combination. Hitoshi tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Francisco throws a sloppy head kick and Hitoshi moves out of range easily.

Francisco throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hitoshi. Francisco does a little dance to reset his feet.
A bone on bone clash there as Hitoshi blocks the leg kick.

and Francisco connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Hitoshi gets the takedown into side control.
Hitoshi throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Hitoshi creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Francisco sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Hitoshi fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The ground and pound from Hitoshi seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Francisco tries to buck Hitoshi off but Hitoshi is having none of it.
Hitoshi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Francisco takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The ground and pound from Hitoshi seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Francisco takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Francisco knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hitoshi on the ground.

Francisco on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Francisco tries to get out of the position.

Hitoshi lands a nice forearm strike.
Hitoshi scores with a couple of short elbows.

Francisco is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Hitoshi sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Francisco is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Francisco tries to buck Hitoshi off but Hitoshi is having none of it.
Hitoshi has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Francisco!
Hitoshi lands a heavy elbow.


It looks like Felippe Francisco has been cut.
Hitoshi raining down hammerfists from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daiki Hitoshi dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Hitoshi looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hitoshi connects with a couple of short punches.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hitoshi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hitoshi is working Francisco over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Hitoshi chips away with some ground and pound.
Hitoshi keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Francisco's head.


Francisco is rocked!
Hitoshi lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Oh Francisco is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hitoshi loads up on a big left hand. Francisco felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Hitoshi looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Francisco can't hide his disappointment, as Hitoshi celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daiki Hitoshi!
Daiki Hitoshi took to the microphone after his victory and thanked his sponsors, KAISER for their support in the buildup to the fight.
