Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Sartre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald Dallas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Sartre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Donald Dallas!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Columbo Gatti and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sartre fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sartre avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Sartre thuds his right hand into Dallas's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Sartre fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dallas manages to avoid it.
Dallas on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sartre. Sartre obviously looking to wear him down.

Dallas changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sartre looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dallas tries to move into full mount but can't pass Sartre's legs.

Dallas is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sartre knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Sartre has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dallas is proving hard to escape from.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dallas is on top in guard.

Dallas thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Sartre is looking for a sweep. Dallas is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Sartre is trying to escape the mount but Dallas keeps good control and instead manages to take Sartre's back.

Sartre is trying to break free.
Sartre breaks Dallas's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Dallas throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Sartre escapes and throws Dallas's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Sartre stands up and beckons Dallas to his feet.
Sartre misses the jab.
A decent looking cross lands there for Sartre.

Sartre ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dallas moves away.
Sartre throws a head kick that half lands.
Sartre tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dallas paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Dallas closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sartre tries to improve position but can't.

Dallas tries for a kimura but Sartre is defending well.
Dallas tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Sartre is looking to regain half guard here but Dallas keeps moving and retains side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dallas moves into full mount!

Dallas has control of Sartre's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sartre regains control of the situation pretty easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Donald Dallas dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Dallas misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sartre tries to bum rush Dallas with a series of wild strikes but Dallas uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Dallas is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sartre defends it well.
Sartre gets back to full guard.
Dallas pushes down on Sartre's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Dallas is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sartre is just riding it out for now. Dallas eventually gives up the hold.
Sartre has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dallas is working away from the top position though.

Dallas is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Sartre is trying desperately to improve position.

Dallas is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Dallas extends the arm and Sartre is forced to tap!
