Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sir Renegade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derfl Cadarn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sir Renegade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Derfl Cadarn!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cadarn drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Renegade uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Renegade closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Renegade breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Cadarn can't keep his opponent in guard - Renegade advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Renegade postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Cadarn to stand up.

Renegade is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cadarn's half guard.

Renegade seems to be working for a kimura but Cadarn defends the submission attempt.

Renegade has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Renegade won't allow Cadarn to sweep him here.

Cadarn working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Renegade doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Renegade manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well Renegade has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
