The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Salace closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Del Mar did well to prevent Salace getting side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Salace drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Del Mar manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Salace has Del Mar in his guard.

Salace escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Del Mar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Salace looking for a guillotine here but Del Mar defends easily.

That's time! Del Mar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Salace fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Salace tries to score a power double leg takedown but Del Mar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Salace somewhat.
Salace walks forward, straight into a front kick from Del Mar.

and Del Mar counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Salace thinking.
Fabio Del Mar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cice Salace.

Del Mar lands a big head kick that sends Salace tumbling to the mat! Del Mar takes a step backwards and waves Salace back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Cice Salace has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Del Mar fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Salace looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Del Mar tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Salace manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Salace gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Del Mar gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Salace is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fabio Del Mar!
In his post fight interview, Fabio Del Mar started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
