Laffite misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Laffite could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Maruska misses with a hook to the body
and Laffite counters with a big head kick but Maruska shrugs it off.
Laffite tries to keep at a distance but Maruska has taken the fight into the clinch.
Maruska lands with a light punch inside.
Laffite takes a shot to the head.
Laffite is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Laffite jumps guard but Maruska stands there with Laffite around his waist. Laffite gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Maruska lands a right hand that snaps the head of Laffite backwards.
Laffite is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Maruska is defending well for now.
