Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Marley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marley is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by chronnixx they don't know. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James Monroe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mick Marley! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Monroe looks to land a combination. Marley sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Marley shoots in but Monroe avoids the takedown attempt easily. Monroe defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Marley. Monroe misses the body punch and Marley counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Marley. Monroe is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Marley to keep the fight standing. Marley successfully pulls guard.
Marley looking for a guillotine here but Monroe defends easily.
Marley lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Monroe!
That's one minute gone in the round. Marley wants to finish this one by submission but Monroe is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Marley. Monroe is trying desperately to improve position. Marley looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Monroe tries to lock up and control but Marley gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Marley throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Monroe because Marley loaded up on that one. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Monroe wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Monroe staying busy and making it hard for Marley to control. Marley not allowing Monroe to control his hands. Marley trying to control momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marley has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Monroe has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Marley really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Monroe. Marley trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Marley is not going to allow Monroe to sit and survive in this position. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Marley's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. I really don't envy Monroe right now.
Marley gets his hands free as Monroe looks to control. Marley controlling well, preventing Monroe from escaping the position.
Monroe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marley on the ground. Monroe looking very determined here, making life difficult for Marley.

Marley tries to close the distance and clinch but Monroe swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mick Marley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Marley misses with a takedown attempt - Monroe sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marley shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Monroe but Monroe pushes him off and we're back to square one. James Monroe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mick Marley. Monroe misses with a wild body shot. James Monroe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Monroe misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Marley.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Monroe thows a left - swing and a miss! Danga de danga de dang - Monroe scores with a four punch combination! A lazy left from Monroe finds it's target. Marley lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Monroe paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Monroe swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Marley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Monroe circles away.

James Monroe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Monroe looks to score with a jab to the body but Marley is just out of range. Nice takedown defense from Monroe. and Marley counters with a nice kick to the body. Monroe wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. The fight stays on the outside here - Marley looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Monroe thows a body shot but no joy.

Marley uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Monroe. Monroe connects with a body shot that sends Marley's belly button to the back. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Marley tries to clinch up. Marley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Monroe manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Monroe is looking to wear down Marley with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Monroe scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Monroe misses with a body shot.

and Marley counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Monroe misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Marley.

and Marley counters with a big head kick but Monroe shrugs it off. Monroe swings and misses with a shot to the body and Marley makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Monroe really felt that one! Monroe looks to land a right hand but Marley moved out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marley fails with a takedown attempt from distance. James Monroe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mick Marley. Marley keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Good shot there by Monroe. Monroe is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Marley. Monroe misses with a shot to the body and Marley counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Marley avoids the body shot from Monroe.

Marley sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Marley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Monroe is fending him off so far but Marley persists. Nope, Monroe circles away and we're back to standing. Marley takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Monroe just misses with a punch to the body.
Marley takes the fight into the clinch. Monroe has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Marley tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Monroe's elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marley gets control of Monroe's arms and successfully pulls guard. Marley will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Monroe won't allow Marley to sweep him here. Monroe seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
And that's the end of the fight! James Monroe showed his dominance in that final round. I think Monroe has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
