Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vadim Vadokowich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazushi Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vadokowich's entrance music is Metallica - Enter Sandman. A fine choice. Kazushi Sakuraba acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
31 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vadim Vadokowich! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazushi Sakuraba! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vadokowich throws the left hand but Sakuraba avoids the punch easily. Vadokowich lands a jab to the head.
Vadokowich throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Vadokowich cracks Sakuraba with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Sakuraba misses with the combination.
Vadokowich connects with a body shot. The crowd cheers as Vadokowich lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sakuraba doesn't seem phased though. We've been told by Vadokowich's head coaches at Millions Top Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Sakuraba shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vadokowich sprawls well. Vadokowich wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sakuraba gets slowly back to his feet. Vadokowich connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sakuraba. Sakuraba circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Vadokowich swings widly with a right hand
and Sakuraba counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Sakuraba working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. This has been an exciting period of action! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Vadokowich is positioning himself well to prevent Sakuraba advancing to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sakuraba is looking for a kimura here.
Sakuraba is trying to control the action in half guard but Vadokowich is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Sakuraba throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Vadokowich wants to improve his position but Sakuraba is controlling well.
Vadokowich is working hard here to advance position. Sakuraba wants to pass the guard but Vadokowich is defending well. Ground and pound from Sakuraba. Vadokowich gets full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vadokowich wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Vadokowich manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sakuraba manages to get himself to full guard.
Sakuraba throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Vadokowich escapes and throws Sakuraba's legs to the side, diving into side control! Sakuraba tries to improve position but can't. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sakuraba wants to control but Vadokowich postures up. That's three minutes gone in the round. Vadokowich just content to control the position. Sakuraba tries to bench press Vadokowich off him but Vadokowich keeps the position. Sakuraba manages to get back to half guard. Vadokowich looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Sakuraba looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Vadokowich pushes past his half guard into mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sakuraba really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Sakuraba slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Sakuraba has a hand on Vadokowich's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Vadokowich takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Vadokowich controlling the pace for now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Vadim Vadokowich will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kazushi Sakuraba is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Vadokowich misses with a straight left. Vadokowich connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. No luck for Sakuraba with that takedown attempt. Sakuraba shoots for a takedown but Vadokowich saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A good leg kick by Vadokowich. Vadokowich scores with a leg kick.
Vadokowich works Sakuraba's body with a nice hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sakuraba is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Vadokowich. Vadokowich throws a series of punches but Sakuraba avoids them all with ease. Sakuraba shoots in for a takedown but Vadokowich shows good takedown defense. Vadim Vadokowich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kazushi Sakuraba. Vadokowich connects with a nice looking jab.
Nice uppercut lands for Vadokowich. That snapped Sakuraba's head back.

Sakuraba is rocked! Vadokowich swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Vadokowich scores with a nice strike. Sakuraba is still on wobbly legs! Can Vadokowich finish him? Vadim Vadokowich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sakuraba blocks a jab. Vadokowich throws the left hand but Sakuraba avoids the punch easily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Vadokowich seems to be stalking Sakuraba here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Sakuraba drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Vadim Vadokowich! Vadim Vadokowich retains his welterweight title! A very excited looking Vadim Vadokowich made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
