Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jimmy The Grinn!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Path throws a leg kick but The Grinn sees it coming and checks it nicely.
A telegraphed right hand from The Grinn misses the target.
Path bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Path tries for a takedown but The Grinn circles away easily
and The Grinn counters with a takedown into side control.
The Grinn moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

It looks like Ghost Path has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The Grinn is looking to take a break and control but Path is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Path takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Path tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but The Grinn wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

You can see the frustration on Path's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee asks The Grinn politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. The Grinn prefers to stall for the moment though.
Path on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Jeez, Ghost Path's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
