Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Pexton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tong Plo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lucas Pexton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tong Plo! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Plo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Plo fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Pexton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. A solid body kick from Pexton. Pexton looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Plo! Pexton landing strikes from the mount and Plo is in trouble! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pexton controlling from mount. Pexton lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Plo hang on? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pexton controlling from the full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pexton trying to control but Plo is having none of it. Pexton content just to control the position here. Pexton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. A nice elbow there by Pexton. Pexton wants to control the pace but Plo is squirming around nicely. Plo has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Plo is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Lucas Pexton just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Pexton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Plo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pexton manages to avoid it. Plo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pexton fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pexton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Plo is fending him off so far but Pexton persists. Nope, Plo circles away and we're back to standing. Plo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pexton's waist but Pexton gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Plo off to one side. Pexton misses with a takedown attempt - Plo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucas Pexton. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pexton keeps the fight on the outside. Plo stuns Pexton with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Pexton is breathing heavily. Pexton fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pexton moves into the clinch. Plo wants to break free but Pexton has control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Plo goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Pexton tries for a takedown. No joy.
Pexton lands an elbow that stopped Plo in his tracks for a moment. Plo tries to land a knee to the head but Pexton blocks with his arms.
Pexton is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Pexton lands an elbow just above Plo 's eye. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Pexton. Pexton breaks from the clinch.
Pexton lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Plo backs up against the cage.
Lucas Pexton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pexton circles away from the clinch attempt and Pexton counters with a good, hard body kick but Plo shrugs it off. Plo sizes up Pexton with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lucas Pexton dominated that round. That's time! Pexton's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Plo wants to clinch. Jab from Plo. Plo ducks under a wild hook from Pexton. Pexton closes this distance looking for a takedown but Plo circles away. Nice combo by Plo! Oh, that's hurt him - Pexton falls to the canvas and Plo follows him into side control.
Pexton is rocked!
It looks like Lucas Pexton has been cut. Plo is looking to take a break and control but Pexton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Plo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Plo trying to control the position but Pexton is working away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Plo is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Plo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pexton kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Plo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pexton is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pexton tries to close the distance and clinch but Plo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pexton looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Plo!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pexton trying to control but he's not successful this time. Pexton get's back to his feet. Pexton circles away from the clinch attempt and Pexton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Pexton slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Plo trying to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pexton in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Plo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Plo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Plo is trying to hold Pexton in close to prevent damage but Pexton has managed to pass into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Tong Plo will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Lucas Pexton's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Pexton with a lazy takedown attempt and Plo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Plo just misses with a punch to the body.
Plo swats away the attempt to clinch by Pexton. Pexton rushes Plo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Pexton decides to pull guard. Pexton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Pexton has Plo pulled in close to control his posture. Plo trying to control the position from guard on top but Pexton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pexton is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Plo wants to control from the top but Pexton keeps moving. Pexton trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Pexton is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pexton takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Plo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Plo looks to clinch and Pexton counters with a lovely shot to the body. Pexton clinches with his opponent.
Pexton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pexton fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Plo sprawls well initially but Pexton persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Pexton wants to pass to mount but Plo is defending the position. Pexton is working hard here to advance position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pexton keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Plo is staying active underneath Pexton, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Pexton content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Pexton wants to stand up but Plo has a hold of him and won't allow it. Pexton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pexton is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Plo is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
