Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yojiro Uchimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Gate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yojiro Uchimura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Uchimura or perhaps it was just good defense by Gate which made him look bad.
Uchimura swinging wildly here.
Uchimura throws a nice looking combination but Gate bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Uchimura instigates a clinch.
Gate working hard to break the clinch.
Uchimura has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Gate after a bit of a struggle.
Gate tries to break the clinch but Uchimura is controlling the position.
Gate wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Uchimura tries to circle away but Gate has him pinned against the cage.
Uchimura gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Gate regains guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Gate has his foot on Uchimura's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Uchimura works his way back into a safe position though.

Gate is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Uchimura tries to free his leg and advance position but Gate is retaining full guard.
Gate has a closed guard, preventing Uchimura from standing up.

Uchimura trying to control but Gate is working from the bottom.
Gate working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Uchimura doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Uchimura manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Gate looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Uchimura passes into side control.
Uchimura cracks Gate with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Uchimura wants to control but Gate is keeping him busy.

Gate tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Uchimura wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gate is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Uchimura's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Uchimura seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gate does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Uchimura in particular looking to stall.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gate has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Uchimura is working away from the top position though.
Gate is refusing to be controlled, as Uchimura sits in half guard.

Gate tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Uchimura holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Uchimura prevents Gate from breaking the clinch.
Uchimura manages to break the clinch.
Gate looks to clinch
and Uchimura counters by clinching up.
Gate has hold of one of Uchimura's legs. Uchimura is fighting the takedown attempt but Gate gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Uchimura wants to sweep but no luck.
Gate working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Gate drops back, looking for a kneebar! Uchimura looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Uchimura looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Uchimura!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gate sneaks back into half guard.
Uchimura is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gate is just riding it out for now. Uchimura eventually gives up the hold.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gate won't allow Uchimura to pass to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but William Gate will probably get the nod.

Gate closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Uchimura quickly recovers to half guard.
Uchimura keeping hold of Gate's head, controlling as best he can.
Gate is trying to work for a kimura but Uchimura is defending well.
Gate wants to get back to his feet.

William Gate bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
