Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Hu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Deacon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Deacon has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ricky Hu's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deacon keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hu.
Deacon misses the jab.
Hu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Deacon throws out the jab.
Deacon tests Hu's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hu has been working on his boxing with his coaches at 11th Planet Fitness ($100/wk) in the buildup to the fight.
Hu swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Deacon has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hu is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Hu throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Hu loads up on a big right hand but Deacon slips the punch.
Hu swings for the body but Deacon moves out of range.
Deacon uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hu.

Deacon drives through and clinches with Hu against the cage.

and Deacon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Ricky Hu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hu throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Hu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Deacon was well out of range. Poor timing from Hu.

Hu does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Deacon has closed the distance and engaged Hu in a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Deacon moves out of range of the leg kick from Hu.
Hu lands a nice hook to Deacon's body. Deacon takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

A looping hook to the body misses from Hu. Deacon does a little dance to reset his feet.

Hu gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Deacon.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Ricky Hu will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Hu gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Deacon lunges at Hu with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hu's hand.
Hu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Some bone on bone action there as Deacon checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Hu throws a hook to the side of Deacon's head but Deacon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Hu lands with a nice combination. Deacon backs away looking to recover.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Deacon checks a leg kick.

Hu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Deacon moves away.

Hu misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Deacon.
Hu throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Deacon on the side of the head.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Deacon! Hu is backing up but he can't get away as Deacon lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Hu and ends the fight. Great knockout.
