The crowd seem to be enjoying Matson's choice of entrance music: Remember the name. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Carson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Matson moves out of range of the strikes.
Matson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Carson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Matson!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Matson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Carson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Matson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Carson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Matson wants to control but Carson is keeping busy.
Matson is looking to improve his position.
Carson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Matson sees it coming and defends easily.
Matson is defending against the submission attempts here by Carson.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carson prevents Matson from improving his position.

Carson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Matson keeps working.

Carson tries to pass to full mount but Matson defends it.
Carson seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Matson is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
