Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ned Flanders!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flanders takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Lewis scores with a nice right hand.
Lewis misses with a looping right.
Mark Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Flanders shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Flanders showed some decent athleticism there.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Flanders is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lewis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Flanders.

Flanders is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lewis defends it well.
Flanders prevents Lewis from improving his position.
Lewis gets back to full guard.

Lewis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lewis manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Lewis prevents Flanders from getting the reversal.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Flanders can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lewis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Flanders tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Flanders bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lewis is on top in guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lewis is pushing down on Flanders's leg trying to pass to half guard. Flanders is fighting to maintain full guard but Lewis has managed to sneak the leg through.
Flanders wants to control but Lewis is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Lewis passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Flanders!
Lewis postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Flanders looks a forlorn figure.


Flanders is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lewis drops a big elbow. That's hurt Flanders! More shots from Lewis and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Lewis!
