Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sean Juan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mirko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Mirko will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sean Juan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Mirko! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Juan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Good shot there by Mirko. Juan takes one to the chin there. Mirko misses with a body shot
and Juan counters by clinching up. Juan is working for takedown but Mirko is calmly controlling the position for now. Mirko misses with the head strike.
Mirko is trying to push Juan away but Juan has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Mirko misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Juan blocks a body shot from Mirko. Juan is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mirko can't fight it off and eventually Juan manages to take the fight to the floor. Mirko looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Mirko wants to get back to his feet but Juan is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Juan passes Mirko's left leg - he's now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Juan stops Mirko from getting back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Juan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mirko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Juan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Juan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's one minute gone in the round. Juan uses his free foot to push down on Mirko's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mirko. Juan working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Mirko's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Juan is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Mirko is forced to tap! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Sean Juan! Sean Juan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
