Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Javier Herrero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kaku Neko!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neko doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Neko goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Herrero will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Neko blocks a head kick by Herrero.
Herrero doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Neko counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Neko drops down looking for an ankle pick but Herrero pulls his leg out and moves away.
Neko looks for a takedown but Herrero sprawls well.

It looks like Kaku Neko has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Neko shoots in for a double leg but Herrero sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Javier Herrero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaku Neko.
Herrero connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Neko tries to close the distance and clinch but Herrero swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Herrero circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Neko to the canvas! Neko doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Herrero keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Javier Herrero!
