Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Spicey Mc Haggis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Raimo Rento! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rento misses with a low kick.
Rento ducks under a wild hook from Mc Haggis. Mc Haggis misses with an uppercut. Rento saw that one coming. A big right from Mc Haggis misses. Rento clinches. Mc Haggis can't find room to land a body shot as Rento controls the action.
Rento blocks a body shot from Mc Haggis. Mc Haggis swings wildly with an uppercut but Rento uses good head movement to avoid it. Mc Haggis is trying to maintain a safe position but Rento gets an underhook and turns Mc Haggis into the cage. Mc Haggis misses with a punch to the body.
Still in the clinch, Rento scores with a nice short uppercut. Rento tries to work over Mc Haggis's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Rento is trying to maintain a safe position but Mc Haggis gets an underhook and turns Rento into the cage. Rento can't find room to land a body shot as Mc Haggis controls the action.
Mc Haggis decides to pull guard. Mc Haggis looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rento got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mc Haggis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rento has managed to get both his arms back between Mc Haggis's legs - danger averted. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rento postures up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mc Haggis wants to sweep here but Rento controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rento trying to control the position from guard on top but Mc Haggis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rento avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mc Haggis looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Rento postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Mc Haggis working for submissions but it's allowed Rento to get to half guard.
Mc Haggis is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rento pulls his head out easily. Rento drops an elbow to the side of Mc Haggis's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rento moves nicely into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rento works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Rento lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Mc Haggis down.
It looks like Spicey Mc Haggis has been cut. Mc Haggis is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rento off and has taken his back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mc Haggis is not going to allow Rento to sit and survive in this position. Rento showing good submission defense here.
Rento trying to control the hands but Mc Haggis breaks the grip. Rento is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mc Haggis is looking for a choke. Rento gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Rento manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard. Mc Haggis throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Mc Haggis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rento defends well. Rento must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mc Haggis keeping moving, preventing Rento from controlling successfully. Mc Haggis keeping full guard, as Rento tries to pass.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rento working Mc Haggis over with strikes.
Spicey Mc Haggis's cut is getting worse. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rento prevents Mc Haggis from improving his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Raimo Rento will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Spicey Mc Haggis's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Rento lands the left hand. Mc Haggis throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Mc Haggis sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Rento lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Rento turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. A telegraphed right hand from Rento misses the target. Mc Haggis throws a combination that misses and Rento counters with a low kick, right behind Mc Haggis 's knee. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Rento checks a leg kick. Mc Haggis throws a head kick but Rento moves out of range.
Mc Haggis tries to bum rush Rento with a series of wild strikes but Rento uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rento has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rento there as he acknowledges the shot. Rento jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Mc Haggis ducks straight into an uppercut from Rento and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Mc Haggis manages to regain guard straight away.
Spicey Mc Haggis's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Rento is working Mc Haggis over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Rento tries to free his leg and advance position but Mc Haggis is retaining full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rento scoring with punches to the head and body.
Jeez, Spicey Mc Haggis's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Spicey Mc Haggis's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
